The Swiss Flute Studio is a new space dedicated to the flute where students and professionals will be able to discover new musical perspectives and to use new strategies improving their musical skills.

 

The Swiss Flute Studio also offers the posibility to study at the Kalaidos University of Applied Sciences Switzerland in its internationally recognized bachelor and master degrees programmes.

 

The Swiss Flute Studio pays special attention on supporting flutists who wish to prepare entrance exams for universities and conservatories as well as in special courses for young flutists and amateurs.

 

The Swiss Flute Studio promotes different aspects such as:

Historically Informed Performance

 

The Swiss Flute Studio specializes in the historical interpretation based in the application of the stylistic and technical aspects of performance and the use of period instruments that were in use at the time of the original composition.

 

Instruments used in the Flute Studio:

-Baroque flute in 415 Hz

-Baroque flute in 392 Hz

-Classic flute in 430 Hz

Extended Techniques

 

The study of non-conventional techniques known as extended techniques are an important part of the Flute Studio.

 

The Flute Studio includes the process of learning and practicing modern techniques for the flute as well as the study of several works of the contemporary flute repertoire.

    Phrasing, articulation, style, rhythm, accents, dynamic, ornaments, agogic, historical context, instruments, form and structure...

The first Baroque Room course will be held in two sessions:

 

1. Session: online seminar with topics chosen in advance by the Baroque Room moderator.


2. Session: online seminar with topics chosen by the participants and final "round table" open session.

 

(The topics must have a relevance or connection with the baroque period and must be sent with the registration).
